Hypocrisy

“When a stupid man is doing something he is ashamed of, he always declares that it is his duty.”
George Bernard Shaw

I recently watched a story on the news about a local California Highway Patrolman (CHP) who was arrested for trading sex for not issuing the women a ticket. He also stopped women for no other reason than to give them his card for a future date. Of course at the time he was married with five (5) children. He was sentenced to two (2) years in a California State Prison. It would be interesting to know how much incessant sanctimonious pontificating he subjected people to during his career.

Of course if you are a politician like Elliot Spitzer (D) N.Y. and have a hooker problem you end up with your own talk show on CNN. If you are David Vitter (R) La. and have a hooker problem you end up getting re-elected in November 2010.

We have all come to expect character flaws in our public officials and that would not be as annoying if it were not for the incessant sanctimonious pontificating offered up by these hypocrites.
